Intro to Hand Building Workshop

Intro to Hand Building is a five week pottery workshop taught by Melissa Metzgar in collaboration with Blank Space Community Center. Kids ages seven and up and adults eighteen and older will explore the foundations of hand building through guided instruction and open studio time. Each session covers design preparation, clay sculpting techniques, glazing, and firing. All materials are provided, including twenty five pounds of clay, tools, and glazes. By the end of the course, participants will build their own small collection of handmade pieces. Finished work will be available for pickup in March. Join us for a creative, hands on experience that welcomes all skill levels.
